AGREEMENT:
Owners attest that their pet(s) are up to date on their rabies, distemper, and parvovirus vaccines by signing this agreement. Head To Paws may ask for updated veterinary information and proof of immunization. Exceptional situations will be taken into account.
Aggressive or dangerous pet(s)
Owners are required to notify Head To Paws if their animal(s) bite, have bitten, or are violent toward people, other animals, or particular grooming techniques. Muzzles may be applied if required. Your pet will not be harmed by muzzling, which also safeguards the groomer. Either before or during the grooming procedure, Head To Paws staff therefore reserve the right to refuse/stop service for such pets and to charge an aggressive pet(s) fee if medical attention is required in addition to the usual grooming fee.
Health or Medical Problems & Senior Pet(s)
A senior pet or a pet with health issues may find grooming procedures distressing at times. During or after the procedure, these treatments may reveal hidden medical issues or worsen already existing ones. Senior pets with health issues will be groomed for cleanliness, comfort, and a style that won't contribute to their tension because they have a higher risk of injury. This Agreement authorizes Head To Paws to seek immediate veterinary care for your pet should Head To Paws determine that such treatment is in your pet's best interest. Prior to taking your pet to your recommended veterinarian or the closest one that is open, we will try to get in touch with you. By signing this agreement, it is understood that the pet's owner will pay for all veterinarian costs.
First Haircut
The first grooming experience requires patience and understanding. more time may be necessary to work with younger pets. Gradually adding steps to the grooming process regularly will help to minimize any potential stress. I understand that I can help my pets accept grooming by regularly massaging my pet's paws as well as brushing and combing their coats. Frequent handling of paws can help pets better accept nail clipping or trimming around the feet.
Accidents
There is always a chance that something bad could happen. Sharp grooming tools are used. Even though we take great care and caution in every situation, potential issues like cuts, nicks, and scratches could still happen. This typically occurs while a pet is wriggling or moving around. While every attempt will be made to groom your pet as securely as possible, a hyperactive pet might be risky to work on. Even if the groom is not finished, we maintain the right to end the grooming session. It is at the disretion of Head To Paws to give advice and manage any injury incurred while grooming, and, if at fault may cover necessary veterinarian charges.
Please don't talk to or let your pet see you if you are picking up your pet while it is still being groomed. Spend some time outside or in silence. We will make every attempt to groom your pet as safely as we can. Working with an agitated pet might be risky. Even if the grooming isn't finished, we reserve the right to cancel the session early and charge the entire grooming fee if you insist on speaking to your pet or the groomer.
Parasites
If you believe your pet may have fleas or ticks, you should treat them right away. An infestation of fleas can result in tapeworms and other health issues. Dependent of infestation Head To Paws have the right to refuse grooming of the dog; as humans, other dogs and the environment are at risk from parasites.
Hold Harmless Agreement
By signing this contract, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Head To Paws, its owners, operators, employees, and directors from any damage, liabilities, financial loss, or claim resulting from any condition of the listed pet(s); whether known or unknown to Head To Paws that arises in any way from services offered. This includes, that this agreement's provisions are subject to modification at any
moment without prior notice, and it is further known that all pets are covered by this clause.
Photography Consent
I hereby give my permission for my pets and/or me to be photographed, and I hereby give Head To Paws and its employees permission to use, reproduce, publish, transmit, distribute, and display the aforementioned photograph(s) in Head To Paws displays, advertisements, websites, and other promotional materials. Images are Head ToPaws's property. The use of images remains loyalty free indefinitely on a voluntary basis and is not considered work for hire.
Late Pick-Up
Please arrive timely to pick up your pet(s). We only accept appointments, and we do not have the staff or facilities to retain your pet for any more than half an hour after the grooming is over. A $20 per extra half hour minding fee may be applied to your bill in order to enforce this regulation. At the time of pickup, all fees must be paid in full.
No Shows & Cancellations
A $40 charge per pet will be charged for no-shows and last-minute cancellations (less than 24 hours' notice), and it will be added to your next invoice. When making another appointment, the prior payment for the first one will be needed. We are aware that there can be emergencies, and we will cooperate with you in certain cases, but not continuously. We are a by-appointment-only business, so if we had known about your cancellation we could have booked another customer.
Pick up/drop off Service:
It is at the discretion of Head To Paws that from time to time in special circumstances that a dog is required to be picked up or dropped off from their home address. This must be arranged prior to appointment, and will charged at a fee of $15.00 per 10km radius of Head To Paws location. Any further distance will be charged an extra $1.00 per kilometre travelled.
I have read and approved Head To Paw’s policies. I acknowledge that the pet(s) indicated here belong to me legally. I give my veterinarian permission to provide Head To Paws with whatever information required about the health of my pet.
Any additional pets that the pet owners obtain in the future are covered by this agreement.
