Your pet is very important to us. Stylish Pups Grooming assures you every effort will be made to make your pet's grooming experience as safe, stress free and as pleasant as possible. Please read the following carefully, and by signing below, you certify that you agree to our policies and also acknowledge that payment is due when grooming services are rendered including any special handling requirements, de-matting charges, etc., pricing of which is subject to change.
Vaccinations: By signing this contract, owners verify their pets are current on rabies, distemper, Parvo virus and Bordetella. Proof of vaccination shall be provided to Stylish Pups Grooming upon request.
Mat Removal: Pets with matted coats need extra attention during their grooming session. Mats left in a pets coat only grow tighter, and can strangle the pet's skin, or eventually tear it open. Stylish Pups Grooming does not wish to cause serious or undue stress to your pet and will not continually demat your pets for you. Mats can be very difficult to remove, and may require the pet to be shaved. When necessary, removing a heavily matted coat includes risks of hematomas, nicks, cuts or abrasions due to warts, moles or skin folds trapped in the mats. Heavy matting can also trap moisture and urine near the pets skin allowing mold, fungus or bacteria to grow, causing skin irritations that existed prior to the grooming process. Torn skin from mats can also harbor maggots. After effects of mat removal procedures can include itchiness, skin redness, self-inflicted irritations or abrasions and failure for the hair to regrow. Shaved pets are also prone to sunburn and should be kept out of the sun until the hair grows sufficiently to protect the skin. In some cases pet, may also exhibit brief behavioral changes. Prevention is the best defense against matting by scheduling regular grooming appointments. There is an extra charge for dematting. Stylish Pups Grooming, will try to achieve the desired haircut, however if matting is to severe, or painful it will need to be shaved. This will be a fresh start and a healthy coat will grow in and we can work on maintaining it together.
Flea Infestation/Salon Sanitation: If fleas are found on your pet, Stylish Pup's Grooming Salon will administer a flea and tick bath to eradicate the fleas in order to maintain salon sanitation. This is at the groomer’s discretion and at the client’s expense.
Puppy's: The first few grooming experiences for a puppy (or any age dog) requires patience and understanding. More time may be necessary to work with younger pets. Gradually adding steps to the grooming process on a regular basis will help to minimize any potential stress. Owners can help their pets accepting grooming by regularly messaging pet's paws as well as brushing and combing their coat. Frequent handling of paws can help pets accept nail clipping or trimming around the feet. Accidents: There is always the possibility an accident can occur. Grooming equipment is sharp, even though we use extreme caution and care in all situations, possible problems could occur including cuts, nicks, scratches, quicking of the nails. In most cases this can happen when a pet is wiggling or moving around. Every effort will be made to insure your pet is groomed as safety as possible, but an excited pet can be dangerous to continue to work on.
Senior Dogs: Stylish Pups Grooming will use extra care and patience for older pets however will not be held responsible for any reaction due to the mental or physical stress of grooming geriatric pets. If, in our judgement, brushing or clipping is determined to cause too much stress to the pets, we will modify or terminate the haircut. Please be sure to notify us of any health conditions that might make your pets uncomfortable during the bathing, drying, or clipping phases. Any grooming which takes place on an elderly or frail pet is conducted at the Pet Parents risk.
Cancellation/No Show Policy: Cancellations happen and we understand schedules sometimes change. If you must cancel, we ask that you give as much notice as possible – preferably 48 hours. Chronic cancellations/No Shows will result in the inability to book future appointments
Late Drop Off/ Pick Up: Please call as soon as possible if running late. Due to being one on one, any drop off later than 10 minutes past the appointment time may need to be rescheduled.
We ask that all pets be picked up within 30 minutes of completion, unless discussed prior to appointment. There may be fees added on to groom if late for pick up. If last appointment of day please make sure to be there as close to completion as possible, After hours pick up will result in an additional fee.
Payment: We accept cash and credit/debit card. We do ask that if paying cash to have exact change as not much will be stored at the shop for safety reasons. Payment is due upon completion of the groom.
Photographs: This form authorizes Stylish Pups Grooming to take photos of your pet for our files as well as company website and Facebook page. All photos taken are the property of Stylish Pups Grooming.
Stylish Pups Grooming employs extensive safety and sanitary precautions to ensure your pets safety and health. Despite reasonable and prudent efforts, some pets may experience common side effects of the grooming process, including but not limited to: clipper burn, exposure of the quick, reactions to shampoos. By signing this agreement, you (the client) agree to relieve Stylish Pups Grooming, and it's agents from any and all liabilities, and/or costs associated with any veterinary care, symptoms or discomfort of your pet related to or presenting after services rendered by Stylish Pups Grooming. The pursuit of any veterinary, behavioral, or rehabilitation services, and the payment there of, is the sole responsibility of the pet owner. Additionally, you agree to relieve Stylish Pups Grooming and its agents from any and all liability associated with damages to person, pet, or property by or relating to services rendered or service equipment used by Stylish Pups Grooming and it's agents. In the event of an emergency, I authorize this establishment to provide necessary treatment for my pet at my expense. If you have any concerns about your dog’s groom, please notify us within 24 hours of the appointment. We will discuss rescheduling an appointment at the earliest time available.
