A full groom starts with a visual health check. Light de-shedding before bathing in the pet spas on board. Hydro bath in softened water with natural Wildwash shampoo and coat conditioning products. Air blasting of the coat to remove dead under coat and speed the drying process. The coat is dried completely with warm air hairdryer and brushed to prepare the coat for styling to your own requirements. Nails are trimmed and pads have excess hair trimmed to reduce the mess in your home, and possible infection or matting of the hair in the paws. The outer area of the ear is cleaned. Your pet’s sanitary areas are trimmed to maintain personal cleanliness. From the time your puppy first comes home, it is important to handle them regularly so they understand that being examined by a vet, or groomer, is nothing to be afraid of. Regularly touch and hold your dog’s paws, ears, head and tail and gently lift their lips so you can examine (or hopefully) clean their teeth. Introducing brushes and combs at an early stage will encourage your pet to relax and enjoy grooming. This helps to reduce stress and increases the bond between humans and puppies. Your pets coat will be brushed through and tangles or matts removed before a relaxing bath with Wildwash natural shampoo range. The importance of nail care is often overlooked in pet health. Poorly maintained nails can lead to wounds and infections and can even affect to ability of your pet to walk freely. As our K9 friends age this is even more important to maintain.
We will walk your best friend, with lots of free cuddles and personal attention. We can also feed their next meal or leave them with treats as directed. Come rain or shine, our walking service is provided. Muddy paws or wet dogs will be dried so that your dog is comfortable, and your home remains clean. Offered as a twenty minute £12 or one hour walk £18 for up to two dogs from the same household.
A new puppy is the most amazing addition family life! However, we all need a little help in the early days to fit around work and other commitments. Chris Co-Owner Having developed a love of animals as a small child, Chris has continued to work with and keep dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and has a special interest in all breeds of birds. A real highlight for Chris was completing his Falconry course with The Hawking Centre at Doddington Manor and completing his qualification with LANTRA. Bev Co Owner Having met and married Chris, it was inevitable that dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and birds of various kinds have been a huge part of my life for the last twenty years. I confess to developing a great passion for animals and in recent years that passion has developed into a working way of life. I have studied pet nutrition under the Isle of White College as part of our role for a national pet food manufacturer and, for the last three and a half years, I have run a social exercise class for dogs of all shapes and sizes! My firm belief is that caring for pets is a great responsibility and, no less a privilege. It is also my love!
