I’m Clare, the owner of Raggy Rascals Holistic Dog Grooming and Pet Services. I provide one-to-one, consent-based grooming from my home-based, crate-free salon, with just one dog at a time. This allows me to focus entirely on your dog’s comfort, security, and individual needs. The Introduction Call : Your journey begins by booking an introduction call. This allows us to make initial contact before scheduling your visit. We will discuss past experiences, home environment and anything that you struggle with at home as well as your dogs needs and your expectations. If you are happy with what we have discussed your Meet and Treat will be booked on this call.
Every dog is different, Some need time, patience, and reassurance; others simply benefit from a quieter, more considered environment. At Raggy Rascals, all breeds are welcome. I use high-quality, gentle and pet-friendly products and equipment and tailor every session to suit your dog, always prioritising well being over perfection. My aim is to support dogs feel more confident over time, while giving owners peace of mind that their dog is being listened to and respected. Animals have always been at the heart of our family, and your dog will be cared for with the same compassion, patience, and respect that I give my own. I am a Graduate of the Holistic Grooming Academy, which reflects my commitment to ongoing learning and to grooming in an ethical, science-informed, animal-centred way. Our 3-Step Journey Because we use a holistic, consent-based method, we do not simply book appointments for full grooms immediately. We follow a specific path to ensure your dog is ready and willing to participate:First you book your Consultation Call, then we arrange a Meet and Treat, step three is book the agreed service that suits your dogs needs.

We will discuss past experiences, home environment and anything that you struggle with at home. If you are happy with what we have discussed your meet and treat will be booked on this call.
The "Meet and Treat" (Mandatory) This is the most important part of your journey with us and is required for all new customers. • What it is: A relaxed session where you and your dog visit the salon to meet Clare. • The Goal: It allows your dog to explore the environment without the pressure of a groom. We will discuss your dog's history, your concerns, and how holistic grooming will benefit them. •The Outcome: We will tailor a specific plan for your dog's needs, whether that is a full groom, a puppy introduction, or a confidence-building programme
Puppy introduction to grooming package This is for puppies from 12 weeks to 24 weeks of age and is designed to ensure your puppy is introduced to grooming in a positive consent-based grooming environment. This package runs over 4 weekly visits. Each visit will progress your puppy toward being well prepared for their full groom.
If your dog is nervous or has had a negative experience at a traditional grooming salon, a care plan will be the first service for your dog. This care plan will build confidence by using methods such as ACE free work and co operative introduction to equipment. Each programme is unique to your dogs needs, these programmes run for 6 sessions over 6 weeks.
Basic health check (teeth, eyes, ears etc) Shampoo and conditioning treatment that are kind to dogs skin health Full brush of coat (any matts will be cut or shaved as we operate a no de-matting policy) Trimming of nails Removal of fur between pads Ear cleaning Treats (dietary restrictions to be discussed prior to appointment) Clipping/scissoring of coat as appropriate (coat type dependant) Book An Introduction Call

Our small furry friends also need their nails trimmed. Rabbits and Guinea pigs are regular visitors at Raggy Rascals.
I love all animals at Raggy Rascals and small animal and cat sitting are one of the service that we particularly enjoy. This service means your cat or small animal can stay safe and comfortable in their own home while we visit to take care of there needs.
